汾阳有着悠久的酿酒历史和丰富的酿酒文化，是全国最大的清香型白酒生产基地，汾酒作为中国白酒行业的开山鼻祖，奠定了汾酒在中国酿酒行业中的重要地位。山西农业大学也在思考如何致力于白酒产业人才培养和科技创新。汾阳现有山西医科大学汾阳学院、吕梁煤炭工业学校、汾阳师范等著名院校以及山西省汾阳医院、省农科院经作所等驻汾科研单位，因此在汾阳建设一流专业院校具有得天独厚的优势。

随着汾酒集团做强做大和杏花村经济技术开发区的挂牌成立，白酒产业的酿造、营销等专业人才需求不断增加。我市已与山西农业大学达成初步合作意向，拟在汾阳新建杏花村酿酒学院。学院占用山西农业大学招生计划，面向全国招生，山西农业大学托管经营。学院初步选址位于汾阳市杏花村，占地500亩。汾酒集团可作为该学院实习基地，杏花村经济技术开发区可择优安排部分学生就业。依托汾阳传统优势白酒产业，结合山西农业大学学科优势，开展白酒产业的基础科学研究和白酒产业发展的关键技术研究，以及酒文化、市场营销、企业管理等白酒产业发展方面的研究。

We have reached preliminary cooperation intention with Shanxi Agricultural University, and plan to set up Xinghua Village Brewery College in Fenyang.
